The Footprints
Interactive Video
It is an interactive video installation to illustrate the transition from reality to AI-generated virtuality. Inspired by the sense of surprise, freshness, and curiosity of discovering the footprints in the snow, we took a lot of photos of footprints of humans, hares, dogs, birds, and tires and composed them together. A completely virtual creature gradually created from reality is shown in the end.
Based on this video with bgm originally created, we made an interactive installation, in which one can take photos with a camera connected to the computer with 2 screens showing simultaneously both the reality and the video playing constantly in cycles. The newly added photos will be inserted continuously in real-time at the beginning of the video.
